I'd like to say Brisbane was a blast, but it was actually tough, as my dear friend Jill came down with a dreaded flu bug that sent her home to Tassie to recover. We went on a couple of drives but very little else, as she was feeling rather miserable. Hope that she will be fighting fit again soon. The Brisbane shops missed out on her enthusiastic browsing.I managed to catch up with Jason and Craig and their lovely ladies and enjoyed watching the boys win their indoor soccer game, plus went to the movies with Jason to see 'The Dark Knight' and yes it was a dark, dramatic movie indeed.

I picked up Mary Burgess from the Gold Coast as she was holidaying up that way with her hubbie and we had a great 6 hour talk all the way on the drive back to Laurieton. I know it's hard to imagine that two ladies could chat for that long, but we did!
Phil has been staying by the stuff, attending meetings, mentoring, planning his talks for the mission conference next week etc etc. Well, someone has to do the 'real work' while I do the traipsing about I suppose.
We're off to Canberra this week for the Conference at Belconnen Baptist Church and we have quite a few meetings to attend and speaking engagements. We are looking forward to the opportunity. Please pray for us in this venture.
Thanks for your interest and friendship.
