Time in Tassie

Please feel free to check out some of our photos on this link of our time at home with family and friends. Tassie sure is a beautiful place and we enjoyed every bit of the time.

Here's a couple more, OK, more than a couple but the snow was awesome, powdery and scudding through the whole time we were on the mountain. We sure needed the chains on the wheels to help us drive to the top.
Phil arrived home in time to celebrate his sister Leanne's fortieth birthday. All of his sisters were together and a good time was had by all.

I arrived in Tassie a few days later and we then had a wonderful time catching up with family and friends.
Did I mention it was very, very cold!!!!! Just had to say it!
We did enjoy time in the snow on a couple of occasions both up at Cradle Mountain and down at Mount Field.
We had an awesome time with our granddaughter Hayley who had grown up heaps but remembered us as if we had visited only yesterday. That was a delight and we are thankful to Amanda her mum, for staying in touch with us and keeping Hayley in our lives. We so enjoy that relationship very much.
We also enjoyed time with our son Scott who now lives in Hobart working at the Tasmania Golf Club. It's a beautiful and challenging course and his boss has become the new golf professional for the club and runs the Golf Shop.
Scott is very busy working in the shop, studying and working on assignments for his traineeship and trying to keep up a high standard in his playing. He doesn't get much time for anything else so enjoyed the chance to head up to the snow with us to work on his snow-boarding skills.

Phil and I 'bravely' tackled the slopes, powder snow by the way, by sharing a boogee board and managed to dodge trees, large rocks and other obstacles to slide our way down a few times.
We had great times with family and friends who fed us up and kept us warm in, did I mention, cold Tassie.
