Bike Ride to Dunbogan

On a beautiful day when the clouds were building up all around for what would be a late afternoon storm, Phil and I decided to go on a bike ride.

We found some beautiful views by the Camden Haven River. The ficus trees are magnificent, offering lovely shade from under their canopy.

The river has many little private jetties where people fish, boys swim and boats are moored. Peaceful places to sit and enjoy the moment. Flip flops, thongs, and whatever else they are called have been nailed to this tree. Quite an interesting scene with messages written on some for others to read.
Everywhere there are pelicans, resting, flying, floating, waiting behind fishing boats and by jetties for some morsel to eat. Quite full of character they are and quite patient as I try to sneak up close (3x zoom will do that) and snap away.

We found a place to rest a while and enjoyed checking out the views. Spectacular which ever way you look. It's hard to drink it all in and capture it on camera. Fun trying though.

Returned home to begin Christmas cooking and writing on cards. It's a time for remembering and missing family and friends. The bittersweet of living far apart.

Thanks for hanging in with us messy, slightly crazy people. But we are always hopeful that what we do is making a difference.
