November has been a busy month for us, particularly Phil, who has been in Sydney for Board Meetings, followed by a boys weekend where they checked out a Bike Show.

The next week Phil was on a road trip to Melbourne via Sydney, Canberra and Bendigo where he caught up with family and friends.
His purpose in Melboure was twofold: firstly to spend time with our son Scott who was playing golf in a Futures Tournament and secondly to visit other mission organisations and church pastors.
In all it was a wonderful time catching up with Scott and a profitable time listening to people as they shared their views and understandings of mission work, particularly the role New Tribes Mission can play.
Me, I've been studying, finishing off a final assignment towards another degree, which I passed, so now it's on to further studies. I've also been running a Mentor Training course and enjoy preparing the materials and working with the group who attend.
Apart from that my focus this month has been on learning the ropes for my new role commencing next year with the Missionary Training staff. I'll be helping with a range of administration duties, curriculum development etc. etc.
Phil returned from Melbourne's extreme weather changes with a heavy cold and cough which has laid him low ever since.I managed to drag him out for a drive today and we explored some of the hinterland, finding some beautiful picnic and camping spots in the forests.
Christmas will soon be here. I've put up my few little decorations, only a tiny tree now, no children in the house to celebrate with so we are off to Brisbane for a few days to visit with Craig and Jason. Looking forward to seeing them and meeting some of their friends. We'll totally cramp their style, but I think that's what parents are meant to do!!! Right????
