Phil and I spent an enjoyable weekend with the Missionary Training Staff in Forster (pronounced Foster for non-locals) where we not only explored some of the lovely beaches and headlands but spent time writing a strategic plan for the department.
Much was accomplished as we worked with them to consider what they have achieved as a team and hope yet to do in the future as they equip prospective missionary candidates with the skills needed to live in cross cultural situations throughout the world.
Phil and I have commenced our ministries as Ministry Coordinators and are now in full swing working with each of the departments here at the Mission Headquarters in Laurieton.
Our roles involve working with each department and their coordinators, providing assistance, facilitating policy and procedural development, enabling effective communication and interaction between each department.
Sounds like fun I know!!! We actually do enjoy this season of life and are very happy in what we are doing. Great sense of satisfaction and challenge as we engage in change management and leadership development. All vital components to assisting a mission organisation grow and flourish in the 21st century. There are new challenges such organisations face, yet the needs are high to see people groups throughout the world hear the Gospel for the first time. It's hard to imagine that there are people still to hear, but that is the reality and we need people who are willing to commit, train and go. High risk, High adventure.
In reality it's almost like an extreme sport, if you know what I mean. It's not for everyone, but it is for those who like a challenge.
We sure count it a privilege to be part of the team.

Sun is shining today, it's a new day. Much to be done. Thanks for being part of our journey.
