Renovating, moving and farewells

What to do today?

There are so many things that need to be completed before we get on the boat on April 1, that it is difficult to know where to start.

But as Di and I have considered these next few weeks, the single highest priority that we have determined to set, is people.

We have experienced some great times with mates and family over the past few weeks, and are looking to heaps more over the next three weeks.

Also, it has been wonderful to have friends and family who have put up their hands to help us out. Di's dad and mum have been here and done ironing, gardening, fixing rails, rendering and just plain encouraging.

Zane King has been a master at getting me going with the back yard. He has spent many hours working and overseeing my attempts at bricklaying, rendering and decking.

David Head has given me time and inspiration in the backyard also. A huge thanks also needs to go to our boys, who over the last few years have given heaps of man hours to dig the hole in the backyard that is now beginning to take shape.

Di has been enjoying a casual position as a tour guide at a local tourist enterprise - Creative Paper Tasmania. Many can't believe that Di is getting paid to talk - but she does it so well!! This job has been a real blessing financially to us, as it has been our only income over the last 5 weeks.

You gotta love that photo with Phil stirring up mud in the wheelbarrow! Who's he going to throw it at? Such an poetic example of Phil doing what he loves to do.

And don't I recognize that T-shirt from Hoskins? You really shouldn't have pinched it back from Freddy when you left. But Oh well, at least it still fits!

All the best from Paul in New Zealand! Cheers Mate, and Hi to Di!

As Uncle Ted would say, "People before projects". Connecting with people is so important. I'm sure the folks down at Tassie would miss you all dearly.

We are really excited to see what God is doing in your lives and thank you for sharing it with us.

Love from us Chins,
Ben

Zane reckons the picture on this posting does no favours to his physique, particularly his posterior! :)
