Wallaby Gully Retreat

Check out the photos on the link below. It was a beautiful place and certainly lends itself to being photographed. Well that's what we always think!!!!! :)

Tucked in a 'secret location' is a beautiful cottage, two gorgeous dogs and plenty of bush to wander in. Many thanks to Paul and Linda who let us house sit and enjoy the ambience. There's even a 9 hole chipping golf course which Phil and I had quite a few rounds of. Not that we were competative of course, but with a slight, well, more than slight handicap I think Phil let me win a few.
Phil relaxing, which was just what he needed after a very hectic few months of juggling ministry and work commitments. He still did some work, but at a slower pace and only when he felt like it.
We walked, rode bikes, played golf and enjoyed mucking around with the dogs. Think we might stay and move in. It's the life.
We explored the Hunter Valley, not too many wine tastings! Did enjoy Olive and cheese tasting as well. Quite a beautiful area filled with vines, beautiful buildings, gardens and surrounded by mountains.
While driving one afternoon we went through a massive storm, wind, rain, hail and all. Temperatures dropped very quickly and we scurried back home to light the fire. Any excuse I reckon.
Not too hard to take and the perfect location for us to rest for a week.
I was about to write that life is back to normal, which it is, I'm back in the office preparing for the busy next term and Phil has been working at the Funeral Parlour this week assisting while another employee is away on leave. I also have a few speaking engagements as well as the Mentor Training Course I'm running. Plenty to keep me occupied and everything that I enjoy.
It has been wet, wet, wet up here with heavy storms and rainfall. Quite cool for us and the blankets are now on the bed. Been told to keep the summer clothes out as there will be warmer weather on the way.
Our big news is that the boys are coming to stay. Out of the blue, all the boys are able to visit us. Craig only for the weekend, but Jason and Scott for the week. We are delighted to be able to have some quality time with them.
We'll be juggling work and ministry commitments but in between some adventures with the boys will be just great.

Well the sun is trying to shine, but as a write another heavy rain storm is moving in. Hope it fines up for the weekend, the boys are keen to go bodyboarding. I told them to bring wetsuits. Will keep you posted on how it all goes.
